For years, police in New York City have been spying on Muslim communities, compiling a database of information, despite no evidence of criminal behaviour.
Now a secret NYPD report, obtained by the Associated Press, reveals the surveillance activities went far beyond their jurisdiction.
Undercover officers monitored Muslim student groups at more than ten campuses in three states, including Yale and Columbia Universities.
