Red Cross calls for aid ceasefire in Syria

The Red Cross is negotiating with the Syrian authorities and opposition fighters a ceasefire in the country so it can deliver vital aid.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has requested a daily two-hour truce to deliver medical supplies to Syrians who need help.
Meanwhile, the situation in Damascus is escalating. Activists say security forces have opened fire overnight on demonstrators, injuring at least four people.
