Kirchner remains popular despite protests

Economic and political policies of the Argentine president help her popularity to remain high.

Almost half a million of Argentines rallied in the streets of Buenos Aires on Thursday to protest against President Cristina Kirchner.

However, Kirchner’s economic and political policies have benefited the poor and some sectors of the middle class, helping her popularity to remain high in these areas.
