UN peacekeepers exit East Timor
UN ends its 13-year mission after aiding east Asian country’s independence from Indonesia.

In a year marked by bloodshed in Syria, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mali, one country is being praised for overcoming violence and internal divisions.
The tiny East Asian nation of East Timor is saying good-bye to an international peacekeeping force and taking full responsibility for its own security.
