US sanctions put a squeeze on Iran air travel
In the past thirty years, plane crashes in Iran have killed more than a thousand people.

Iran has one of the world’s worst air safety records and in the past 30 years, plane crashes have killed more than 1,700 people.
One Iranian pilot, who was forced to crash land a passenger plane, says sanctions are making it dangerous to fly.
That is because Iran has been forced to find parts on the black market.
Al Jazeera’s Soraya Lennie reports from Tehran.
