UN says Syria conflict is ‘overtly sectarian’
Report says a growing number of foreign fighters are taking sides in the conflict.

The Syrian crisis may have begun simply as a battle to push President Bashar al-Assad out, but UN investigators say a growing number of foreign fighters are taking sides in the fighting.
The report also suggests that the war is increasingly being fought along sectarian lines.
