Millions of pilgrims descend on Mexico City every year to visit the shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
Some spend days walking – or crawling – from their home towns across Mexico to make the Catholic pilgrimage.
In a country ravaged by violence, poverty and crime, the virgin provides the gift for those in need of hope.
