Migrant workers in Russia face language test

Those seeking work permits will now have to sit for an exam which experts estimate one third will fail.

Russia’s economy relies heavily on immigrant workers but starting from December all immigrants will have to sit a Russian language test in order to receive a work permit.

Experts estimate that one third of all possible applicants are likely to fail.
