Climate changes threaten Iraqi wetlands

Unique ecosystem in southern marshes, restored after damage in Iraq-Iran war, is now once again facing threat.

Marshes laboriously restored after they were drained under Saddam Hussein during the Iraq-Iran war in the 1980s are now at risk of being completely destroyed due to rising temperatures and drought.
