UK in bid to curb binge-drinking

Government plans for a minimum alcohol price aim to restrain Britain’s infamous drinking culture.

The UK government has unveiled plans for a minimum price for alcohol in England and Wales as part of a drive to tackle binge-drinking.

Prime Minister David Cameron’s cabinet recommends a minimum price of 65 cents on a unit of alcohol.
