Syria’s remote areas struggle to receive aid

Residents of the Syrian northwestern town of Maarat al-Numan who fled their homes have found shelter within the Byzantine ruins in the nearby town of Sergilla.

However, they continued to struggle for food and warmth amid lack of humanitarian aid.
