Backlash against Filipino political dynasties

Protesters say system stunts development and are trying to persuade people to break their voting habits.

Family dynasties have long dominated politics in the Philippines – and have been blamed by some for stunting the country’s development.  

A law to curb their influence is still waiting to be passed, so one group is already doing its best to persuade Filipinos to break their voting habits.
