Aleppans caught in conflict face dire plight

Al Jazeera visits one of many families living in squalor and desperation in city besieged by government forces.

More than 400,000 Syrians have fled to neighbouring countries to escape their government’s violent crackdown on a 20-month uprising.

But many other civilians who could not flee the regime’s bombardments of residential areas are now facing a severe plight. 

Al Jazeera’s Andrew Simmons travelled to the Myasar district of Aleppo to spend a day with a family living in squalor and desperation.
