New ‘super’ strain of malaria threatens Kenya

Scientists in Kenya have found evidence of a new strain of malaria that appears to be resistant to the world’s most effective drugs.

A similar parasite has been found along Thailand’s border with Myanmar.

Now, there is concern that the strain may be spreading.
