Afghan army faces challenges with US pullout

NATO-trained Afghan forces are trying to prove they can hold off the Taliban after US troops depart.

As the deadline for the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan draws closer, the Afghan army is preparing to take over full responsibility of security operations.

The country’s military, which has been trained by NATO forces, is trying to prove that it can properly fight the Taliban on the frontlines.
