Residents in Bengaluru look for ways to reduce waste as landfills are near capacity.

Environmentalists in India are encouraging the growing population to dispose of their waste more thoughtfully.

Rubbish is becoming a huge problem in major cities as some landfill sites have completely run out of room.

Al Jazeera’s Sohail Rahman reports from the city of Bengaluru, where residents fed up with the growing piles of rubbish have taken it on themselves to find a solution.
