Voting stations struggle in storm’s aftermath

Election officials in New York and New Jersey struggle to overcome damage caused by Sandy so that polling can go ahead.

One million voters in New York live in areas where polling stations have been damaged or lost power after storm Sandy.

The number is higher in New Jersey. Officials have been scrambling to get new voting stations up and running.
