Mass rally held against drones in Pakistan

Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan leads protest against US drones with hundreds of anti-war supporters.

Taking his protest on the road, cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan kickstarts a rally against US drones with hundreds of supporters in Islamabad.

They are heading to South Waziristan, an area bordering Afghanistan that has been hit by a number of drones.

It is unclear if they will be allowed to go all the way. But their message is clear – it is one of peace.

However, there have been reports of threats made against the rally that include Americans and British anti-war activists.

Al Jazeera’s Caroline Malone reports.
