India separatists recruit child soldiers

Armed groups in Manipur state have been abducting children to add underage fighters to their ranks.

India’s northeastern state of Manipur is one of the most militarised zones in the country, with almost 50 armed groups fighting for autonomy.

But over the past few years, support for the armed movement has dropped.

And in the absence of adult fighters, some groups have resorted to abducting children to include underage recruits in their ranks.
