Beirut victims deal with explosion aftermath

Many residents living in area where Lebanese intelligence chief was killed still find their homes off limits.

An explosion that targeted Wissam al-Hassan, Lebanon’s top intelligence chief, earlier this month also destroyed many homes in the Sassine district of eastern Beirut.

As the country continues to grapple with the politics of the assassination, many residents in the blast area are struggling to survive the aftermath.

More than 60 families were affected by the explosion, many of whom still find their homes off limits to them as security forces continue their investigation of the crime scene.
