‘More aid needed’ to defeat Somalia hunger
Outgoing UN humanitarian official says greater international aid is necessary to stave off a food crisis.

The UN’s humanitarian affairs co-ordinator for Somalia is calling for international donors to step up assistance to the war-torn, impoverished nation.
Mark Bowden has just resigned from his post, but on the eve of his departure he told Al Jazeera’s Peter Greste that international support is slipping in the middle of a food crisis.
