Triathlon sees sharp rise in participants

At least 6,000 people from 30 countries take part in one of the fastest growing sports in the world.

Triathlons used to be for extreme sports fanatics only.

But since making its debut at the Olympics in Sydney in 2000, the three-in-one endurance test has seen a sharp increase in participants. It has become one of the fastest growing sports in the world. 

Matt Rumsey reports from the Spanish city of Barcelona, where at least 6,000 people from across the world took part in the triathlon.
