Wildlife under threat in India’s northeast

Protecting rhinos from floodwaters and poachers is a challenge for park rangers at wildlife reserve.

Months of torrential rain in northeastern India have caused some of the worst flooding in a decade, leaving more than three million people homeless.

Along with the people’s suffering, the area’s wildlife is also under threat – and not just from the rainwater.

Al Jazeera’s Sohail Rahman reports from the state of Assam.
