Voter ID law halted in Pennsylvania

A judge blocked the main provisions of a law requiring voters to present photo ID, a month before US elections.

A judge has blocked the US state of Pennsylvania from requiring voters to show photo identification in next month’s elections.

 It’s a setback for Republican state officials who had championed the proposal in the politically divided state.
