Romney bags Iowa in tight finish
Santorum, who many thought was a complete outsider, went on to give a good fight to Romney.

It has been an extraordinary night in Iowa as Republicans tried to decide who will be their presidential candidate to challenge President Barack Obama.
Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, pipped Rick Santorum, the former senator, by narrow margin of eight votes. The two leading candidates polled 25 per cent.
Santorum, who many thought was a complete outsider, went on to give a good fight to Romney.
As some candidates bid farewell to the land of corn and cattle and head to New Hampshire, for some Iowa will be the end of the road.
