Floods and drought threaten Thailand crops
Water management is a major problem in the country where many farmers risk losing their crops and income.

While some areas in Thailand are still reeling from last year’s floods, other areas are suffering from drought.
Water management has long been a problem in the country.
There is plenty of water in hydropower stations, but the government is being criticised for not releasing enough to help the drought-stricken areas. And with early rains forecast, there are fears the reservoirs will fill up too quickly.
