Philippine storm victims struggle on
Washi survivors in Mindanao have little choice but to rebuild in the same areas where their homes were destroyed.

It has been a month since tropical storm Washi wreaked havoc in the southern Philippines and killed over a thousand people and left 80,000 families homeless.
Despite the troubles, survivors in Iligan are in a hurry to rebuild and get on with their lives, many in the same areas where their homes were destroyed. They feel they have little other choice because evacuation centres are too crowded and relocation plans are still unclear.
