Filipino workers escape Syria violence
Filipinos begin arriving home after government raises alert level for its nationals in Syria.

Filipino workers have begun returning home from Syria, escaping the continuing violence in the country.
The Philippines government had raised the alert level for its more than 10,000 nationals still in Syria.
It expects more than 1,000 to be repatriated by the end of this month.
