Wednesday marks 10 years since the US military opened its detention centre at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.
The camp was set up to hold detainees from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq where the practice of holding prisoners indefinitely without charge has long been a source of controversy and international condemnation.
