NTC forces accused of revenge killings

Libya’s interim government forces struggle to bridge the gap and reconcile with Gaddafi loyalists.

Human rights organisations have reported cases of revenge killings and abductions of alleged pro-Gadaffi supporters and  interim government forces in Libya.

The ruling National Transitional Council says it is trying to pursuade fighters not to take the law into their own hands.

But after seven months of violence and unrest, 42 years of oppression by Gaddafi, it is difficult for the resulting hatred to disappear overnight.
