Libya’s National Transitional Council says it is close to making a deal with Muammar Gaddafi’s loyalists to hand over the strategic town of Bani Walid.
But fighters are still gathering to the north and east of the town, where Gaddafi forces are alleged to have carried out a massacre on May 28, in case negotiations fail.
Al Jazeera’s Sue Turton reports from outside Bani Walid.
