Family rejects Syria ‘spy confession’

Relatives of Iyad Youssef Enam, accused of helping Israel kill Hezbollah figure, insist he is innocent.

Confession of Israel spy in Syria ''forced''

The family of a man accused by the Syrian government of being a spy for Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency, has insisted he was forced into a false confession.

Last week, Syrian state TV broadcast footage of Iyad Youssef Enam apparently confessing to helping Mossad assassinate Imad Mughniyeh, a military leader of Hezbollah, in Damascus in 2008.

Al Jazeera’s Omar Al Saleh reports from Al Bagaa, a Palestinian refugee camp in Amman, the Jordanian capital, where Enam’s family say they are certain that he is innocent of the allegation.
