South Sudan tribes in deadly battle over cows
Hundreds of people left dead in Jonglei state, as rival tribes compete for water and grazing areas.

The United Nations says at least 600 people have been killed and more than 900 injured in recent inter-tribal clashes in South Sudan.
Much of the violence is the result of cattle rustling in the world’s newest country, where cows are valued not only for their food and milk, but also for their part in bride transactions.
As rival tribes compete with each other for water and grazing areas, people often have to flee their villages to escape with their lives.
Al Jazeera’s Haru Mutasa reports from Jonglei state.
