Emeralds shine in troubled Swat Valley

The Mingora emerald mines in Pakistan’s troubled Swat Valley have opened again after years of violence and looting by the now-departed Taliban.
The re-emergence of the mining industry has brought jobs, investment and a certain amount of hope to the area.
