Syrian violence draws international criticism
Latest crackdown leaves at least eight people dead after government forces launch fresh attacks in several cities.

International condemnation of Syria’s violent actions in Hama and other cities has been swift, but NATO has ruled out any intervention to stop the violence.
Turkey and Russia, both close allies of the country’s president, led the criticism, with Britain calling for concerted action by the United Nations.
