At least 142 people reportedly killed in violence throughout the country, a day before the start of Ramadan.
Syrian government continues to unleash the force of its army against its own people – trying to suppress protests that have lasted nearly five months.
According to rights campaigners, more than a hundred people died in the past 48 hours of protests, most of them in Hama.
On Monday, the first day of Ramadan, activists said tanks were again attacking the city of Hama. Now the military is moving its operations to Abukamal in the east and Dare Ez-Zor.
