US state to enforce tough immigration bill

Human rights campaigners say Alabama law unfair and may leave the southern state short of labourers.

The US state of Alabama is planning to introduce a new law against undocumented immigrants.
 
The new bill is to come into effect in September and is expected to be one of the toughest immigration laws to date. Critics of the proposed bill say it could damage the very community it is trying to help.
