Syrian reform talks hit by boycott
Most opposition leaders stay away from government-led meeting while crackdown on protesters continues.

The Syrian government has held the first of two days of discussions with the opposition in the capital, Damascus.
Meanwhile, government troops are out in force to keep a lid on the country’s uprising. And it is for this reason that most opposition leaders boycotted the meeting, which began on Sunday.
Al Jazeera’s Rula Amin reports from Beirut in neighbouring Lebanon.
