Al Jazeera returns to Syria under supervision

Network back in country but reporters accompanied by government escorts when filming.

Al Jazeera has been allowed to report from Syria again after being banned along with other foreign news outlets amid a popular uprising that has continued since March.

However, the network’s correspondents are only allowed to film in the country while accompanied by a government escort.

The district of Douma in Damascus, the capital, was one of the first to see mass anti-government protests.

Rula Amin reports from the district, where protesters have continued to take to the streets along with many others across the country despite a brutal military crackdown.
