France and Germany agree on aid for Greece

Leaders of European economic powerhouses say they are united behind a new bailout package.

Germany and France have put on a show of unity to to resolve Greece’s debt crisis.

Meeting in Berlin on Friday, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel agreed on the need for a new bailout package for the country.

They also offered words of support to the Greek government.
