European farmers hit by dry season

European farmers are suffering severe droughts this season, as a lack of rain hampers the continent’s agricultural industry.
France is already experiencing conditions so critical that the government has promised to pay farmers more than $1bn in compensation for their failed crops.
Experts say it is a challenge which governments in normally drought-free regions will increasingly face.
