Residents hesitant to leave Japan town
Government calls for evacuations after high radiation levels found in some areas.

Radiation leaks from Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant are contaminating areas outside the original 30km exclusion zone, including the farming town of Iitate, to the east of the facility.
The village is trapped under an invisible cloud of radiation, and the government has asked residents to evacuate the area over the next few months.
About a third have already left, but some residents are determined to stay put.
They say that the town – and their livelihoods there – mean more to them than the risks they face by staying.
Al Jazeera’s Laura Kyle reports from Iitate.
