Barack Obama, the US president, has praised the work of American special forces in killing Osama Bin Laden and said the world is now a safer place.
The leader of Al Qaeda was killed in the early hours of Monday morning by a NATO air-strike on his compound in the Pakistani town of Abbottabad, near Islamabad, the capital.
