Deaths in Yemen as protests escalate
Yemeni security forces kill nine protesters and wound many others in three cities.

Across Yemen, thousands of protesters have been rallying in the streets to demand the resignation of the president.
In the Capital Sanaa, the industrial centre of Taiz, and the Red Sea port city of Hudaida, Yemeni forces opened fire on the crowds.
Nine people were killed and dozens more were injured.
