Refugees fleeing the violence in Ivory Coast are braving bandits, hunger and days in the jungle to reach Liberia.
After four months of deadly post-election violence, many of the Ivory Coast’s wounded have limited access to medical attention. Now as relative calm sets in, hospitals are struggling to cope with a huge number of patients and dwindling supplies.
We visit a hospital with 20 beds but over 90 patients. Doctors are worried this may only be the beginning of a major influx.
