Rebuilding lives on Japan’s coast

Fishermen are determined to venture out to sea, undaunted by the recent quake and tsunami.

Many of those living along Japan’s coastal areas – in towns like Hirono – are reliant on the fishing industry for their livelihoods.

Despite the recent devastation caused by the earthquake and tsunami, residents are determined to do what is necessary to slowly rebuild their lives.

Al Jazeera’s Andrew Thomas reports from Hirono.
