Hamas eyes Brotherhood rise
Change in regime in neighbouring Egypt could be a major boost for movement in Gaza.

Hamas has been in power in Gaza for four years, and is firmly entrenched in the community.
The organisation’s early origins lie in the Muslim Brotherhood, and the two groups still have very close links.
While Egypt’s political turmoil shakes up the Middle East, Hamas could benefit if the Brotherhood becomes a rising political force following the country’s current crisis.
