‘Justice on wheels’ in the Philippines

Eight custom-made buses with judges onboard seek to deliver justice to victims of overburdened court system.

In the Philippines, an overburdened court system means that cases can take years to be resolved.

There are currently tens of thousands of under-trial prisoners still waiting to see a judge, and the Supreme Court has now introduced a radical new way to dispense justice.

Eight custom-made buses are travelling the country with judges trying cases from inside the vehicles.
