Wheeling an education into India’s slums

Children who cannot afford education now benefit from charity’s mobile classroom programme.

For millions of India’s poorest children, education is a luxury, not a right. Many impoverished young people live in slums and help support their families by taking on odd jobs.

One charity organisation is taking the issue to the streets, in the form of a mobile classroom that brings education to children who cannot attend schools.

Al Jazeera’s Prerna Suri reports from New Delhi.
