Sudan adjusting to post-Gaddafi era

The former Libyan leader asked a Sudanese man to revise his Green Book’s rough manuscript.

Sudan is trying to repair the effects of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s involvement in the country, including the arming of the South Sudanese rebels during the civil war.

Gaddafi’s ties with the country date back to the early years of his rule and ideas in his Green Book manifesto are said to have originated from the Islamic Socialist Movement in Sudan during the 1970s.

In Khartoum, Al Jazeera’s Mohamed Vall met one of three leaders of that movement to whom Gaddafi sent his initial manuscript for revision.
